For our importante client, we are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Cost Analyst to support their finance team at a dynamic food manufacturing facility. This role will work under the guidance of the Senior Financial Analyst and collaborate closely with operations and plant leadership to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, mainly related to manufacturing and supply chain performance.

The Cost Analystt will assist in tracking and analyzing production and supply chain costs, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing insights that help drive operational efficiency. This position plays a key role in day-to-day financial activities, including cost analysis, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and reporting.

We are looking for someone who is analytical, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication, accounting, and Excel skills are essential, along with a passion for process improvement and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare periodic reports on manufacturing and supply chain performance to support business decision-making.
• Uphold a strong internal control environment to ensure compliance with corporate policies and external regulations.
• Promote financial discipline, cost awareness and communication across operational and supply chain teams.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closings, annual budget cycles, and periodic forecasting activities.
• Partner with BI team to automate reports and provide live information.
• Gain deep understanding of food production and logistics processes to identify areas for automation, waste reduction, and cost-saving.
• Collaborate with operations to develop, update, and maintain standard costs for ingredients, packaging, and processing.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support operational and strategic initiatives.
• Provide documentation and support for external audits and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor timely and accurate recording of production work orders in the inventory system.
• Ensure accounting practices meet GAAP standards and comply with tax and internal reporting requirements.

Requisitos

• CPA, Bachelor’s degree.
• +6 years of professional experience, +4 working with cost accounting, plant controlling or finance plant related roles.
• Advanced English, written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel.
• Power Bi, Tableau experience is a plus.
• ERP: preferible NetSuite.
• RedZone, or similar production management software, would be a plus.
• Excellent communication. Fluid and constant communication in reporting the progress of tasks and projects.
• Excellent task and time management.
• Demonstrated ability to automate complex processes in systems (ER), Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
